Claire Gunnison
Manager, Clinical Outcomes and Reporting
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Achieve Now’s mission to view literacy as a social justice issue directly aligns with Claire Gunnison’s commitment to improving outcomes for children. In her role at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, she works to improve and demonstrate clinical outcomes by coordinating across multiple stakeholders, developing systems and partnerships that support data-driven improvements in care delivery and drive better outcomes for our patients and families.
She was initially drawn to Achieve Now as a volunteer coach. In that role, Gunnison witnessed students not only strengthen their literacy skills but also grow in confidence, self-expression, and ownership of their learning. This inspired her to take on a leadership role as a board member.
As an Achieve Now board member, Claire draws upon her experience with CHOP and at Action Tank, a volunteer group addressing social drivers of community health. Both experiences have prepared Gunnison to engage meaningfully in Achieve Now’s mission and shown her how rewarding it is to contribute to the broader community..
