Now retired, Steve King was the Senior Counsel and partner at Ballard Spahr LLP, where he specialized in securities law, investment management law, and mergers and acquisitions, with a particular expertise in education companies, printing companies, and publishing companies. Before that, he was a partner at Mesirov Gelman Jaffe Cramer & Jamieson, a regional law firm headquartered in Philadelphia.  

Steve’s sustained dedication to education and belief in the importance of educational opportunities for all children led him to volunteer coach for Philadelphia READS Power Partners program while at Ballard Spahr and, in 2020, to join Achieve Now’s board, where he will lend experience serving on multiple nonprofit boards.
